Bonjour, Mes Amis!
Quand il pleut, il verse; when it rains, it pours…But fortunately for us on the Central Coast, we need a little rain in our lives!
Currently, I’m curled up on the couch in my second family’s front room, across from a huge window bay, watching the rain drops dance rhythms on the antique glass panes and thinking about how beautiful it all is; the grey skies, the dark green contrast of the trees against the skyline, and the rippling puddles forming all over the sidewalk and street in front of the house. I’ve got my long pajamas and fuzzy socks on, and a hot cup of coffee in my favorite coffee cup is steaming on the small table next to me, and I’m torn between wanting to stay all cozy and warm on the couch all day, and the desire to go throw on my rain boots and a sweater and jump in the puddles!
Personally, I’ve been feeling a bit bogged down and over loaded lately, so the opportunity to sit and enjoy this beautiful rainy day is a wonderful reminder:
“It’s not about waiting for the storm to pass…it’s about learning to dance in the rain.”
What a lovely reminder to embrace the beauty in our lives, especially when it’s so easy to let our “to do” lists and daily routines push it out of our line of sight. So wherever this message finds you, I hope that today we are all able to push aside our worries and cares for a moment and go splash around a bit, and remember that dancing in the rain is more fun, anyway.
Bisous,
